Garnetts paper mill (Otley) is only a few hundred yards from my house and is cited right on the edge of the river Wharfe. I presume the weir was once used to power the mill. This view is taken from Wharfemeadows Park. I understand that the mill has been closed for a couple of years now and there are plans to turn the area in residential housing. So, its important to capture these scenes before they disappear.
